Hi, I use adsense and I am also a adwords advertiser. I all my time of going to sites I always see different sites put the ads on their site in different places and they all use different tactics which all nearly don't break Adsense TOS. But since I am directly looking for sites to doing CPM advertising with, I have never in my life seen so many sites breaking the TOS. About 25% of the sites that I have gone to are breaking the TOS in some way or another in that they just have ads all over their site with hardly any content and poor design. But this site just takes this p*ss out of everything. What I can see is that they are using 9 adsense ad units and their site is totally messed up int firefox. The url is: http://swagger-info.com Now if they think I am going to advertise with them they are having a joke. That's one good thing about doing CPM advertising is that you know where your ads are placed. Edit: I edited this post to say that I have found another breaking TOS: http://www.cbshopper.com/ It seems to have 5 ad units for Google. I will not report any more to you guys as I have not got time to keep posting link apon link as I would probably be all day with all of these TOS breaking sites.
Geez... Really, how hard is it read a TOS before placing adsense ads..?? Actually, you could skip the TOS and just read the guidelines if you're in a hurry.
What really makes it funny is the headline on http://swagger-info.com: "Because Ignorance is No Excuse" The irony...
hmmm check the page source. they are having only 2 correct adsense codes. the others are the copies of output of that code. that means only 1 click on each link on all ads (except 2) will pay them.. or maybe something else ... not sure. but pissing on that aspect.
This message(on left top) second to that: "I am not here to make friends. I am here to show you EXACTLY how I make millions."
That surprised me as I thought only 3 adsense unit could ever be displayed anyway. When I tried to put 4 adsense codes (just to see what it is doing) I can see that only the first 3 are displayed. So how this site is having more than 3 adsense blocks? It's simply with IFRAME and the SRC is a kind of copy as Gurpartar said.. Anyway it's strange and I'd be curious to know how long the owner will be able to keep his AdSense account. Plus there's really no reason to put more than 3 adsense blocks, it's more than enough.
If he did make a million, which he will not, he will be making it taking the p*ss out of the Adwords advertisers. While looking for sites for the affiliate type / home based sort of marketing I find that it is a very hard area to be in when it comes to advertising. Most of the sites that I come accrossed are poorly designed sites where most of them has 0 - 10k pageviews per day. Now I will be doing alot more advertising when I get my scripts updated for my product sites and I looked for advertising for them to see if this is a easier section to find advertising and my first search returned alot of quality sites where alot of them are having 10k - 500k pageviews on a daily basis.
How about weblogsinc.com 's blog network?? They are having more than 7-8 Adsense ads displayed simultaneously on the same page without frames or any code tricks (as mentioned in above post). For example: Check and keep counting while you go down the page. http://www.downloadsquad.com/ -- 4 Ads http://www.autoblog.com/ -- 6 Ads http://www.thecancerblog.com/ -- 4 Ads http://www.thewirelessreport.com/ -- 6 Ads [excluding AdLink unit] And many more listed at http://www.weblogsinc.com/ And also, some of the ads have the label "Advertise on this site" and some don't (with the same publisher ID). Go... Go... Goooo... Goooooogle!
Yes, I never noticed that! but those website, like autoblog.com who have many adsense blocks seem to have a particular agreement with google since in the code we see : google_ad_client = "ca-aol_weblogs_xml"; google_ad_channel = "Autoblog_06_Lower_Units"; So it's not like our typical adsense publisher id and channel numbers.
Stupidity, greed, programming know-how, and an inability to look ahead more than one MFA spam site at a time is a dangerous combination.
You mean to show more than 3 ad blocks? No, he's using IFRAME. But if you meant Adsense account in case he gets banned -- most likely, yeah.
It wouldn't surprise me if he had. If he has around 9 ads on a page then why not break the TOS much further and see how many accounts he can have open before he gets caught.
