I can't be certain, but perhaps your image path has something to do with it - not very descriptive: amass/skins/default/images/imgname.jpg

Thanks kburzy, but the heycheri site example is using images with filenames like "001-61.jpg" so I don't think its the file name that's the issue.

Just kind of strange - you have a PR 5 website. Does not make sense to me without more info.

That's what is driving us absolutely crazy and I'm asking the professionals here! We have High Page rank, 1000's of backlinks, 100's of blog articles, and ZERO indexed Google images! We have done everything mentioned here in the forums, sitemap, robots.txt webmaster tools, etc. Nothing helps!

I would recommend you checking out these first.

    1. Filename - What is your current image file name? Is it a specific name like "google.jpg" or just "image1.jpg". I would recommend using a name or keyword in your image name to get a chance for being indexed and ranked.

    2. Deep links - You should build link to inner pages to give more weight to them. Most of the poor ranking in images search are because a poor internal linking structure or low deep links building ever made.

I think it has something to do with how you have your images set up. You have some fancy pop up window come up once I click on an image.

After looking at your page source I really believe it is how you have your images set up. The URL are a bit long and Google may not like that.
Some are nested 4 directories deep! I would keep it to one.

Then the way you have the thumbnail images also creates long URLS ....

Looking at that last URL it is still long and nested four folders deep. On most of my sites I do not care if images get indexed so I do not worry about cleaning up URLS. On the sites I do care I will often only go one folder deep. In other words you may want to get rid of ... amass/library/11/

This can be done in various ways or by mod/rewrite on you .htaccess file in your root directory on your site. If you have images with same names it can cause a problem.

Hope this clears it up a bit and I wish you well.

The long-path theory sounds the most logical reason. spiders may not be able to crawl that much deep since they're already full of links from your previous pages like your /amass/ folder, /library/ folder and /11/ folder. Maybe if you put images and have a URL like this : site/images/image.gif it may be indexed

Thanks pietromorale! I also think thats the most logical reason. I'm currently working on a way to fix the folder issue, and will keep everyone posted if this fixes it!

I agree with pietromorale, you should have the images placed into an image folder as it seems as if the bots have always enjoyed that as my sites are all setup like that.
