Site IP Question

    I just logged into my WHM and changed the IP of one of my sites to a new IP. In my NameCheap account the nameserver is pointed to the old IP. Do I need to change the nameserver too or the server will know to send peopel to the new IP?

    If you are not using the DNS of your server and just pointing your domain to your IP address from namecheap control panel then you will need to update the IP address at namecheap. Otherwise your site will display cPanel default page.

    Yeah you have to register that new IP at your name cheap account. for example your old setting was that ns1.ursite.com was having IP 1.2.3.4 now you have changed IP to 3.2.4.5 you have to register the new IP for ns1.ursite.com
