I got the category links and the subcategory links text as the part of description for site: search of my site and in the bottom it was given as "In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 8 already displayed. If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included. " Is this a penalty, If it is, then Shall I just change the CSS and HTML in such a way that the content is crawled first. I ve recently seen a drop in the traffic in the site so can this help. Thanks, Ravi.
It sounds like you are experiencing what was being discussed in this thread... http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=236632 Caryl
All title tags are unique according to the content in the pages. All pages got indexed No description tags The thing is When I did site:search on one of my sites it actually shows the left side navigation links text as the description in the display. display looks something like this if it is subcategory3 menu, home, category1, category2, category3, category4, category5, subcategory1, subcategory2, subcategory3.. now here subcategory3 is the actual page text.. but you see the words before that specific page text... now it is not showing the same for homepage because of the less number of links and showing the 1st paragraph few words as the description. But for the internal pages, description looks like the above thing .... and after showing about 7 or 8 results... the others are shown as similar pages and thus are not showed.
