    Hello DP Members,

    I revamped my website www.syscomindia.com
    Fisrt of all, I need your reviews about my site.

    Secondly my website is cached in google on 20thof Jan,2010.
    I uploaded the revamped website on 18th of Jan,2010. Now my problem is,
    when I check in google search box by typing site: www.syscomindia.com
    I checked the cached page. It is showing the new website page. But the meta tags are the old ones.

    I am confused. What does this mean??

    Please help.. Awaiting your kind comments.

    Site looks OK, i think you could work on the type a bit more, check out ilovetypography for some ideas.

    With regard the cached data, its still very early days, i'd say give it another week and google will have it sorted.

    you think adsense is a solution for getting site indexed or ranked well???
    well i dont think so...
    Google is paying for you if you are showing its ads.. so no more favors google is going to do for showing adsense... This is my opinion...

    hi neha
    sometimes the search engines use the old descriptions and old meta tags if there is DOMZ entry for the page. we can prevent from using DOMZ's descriptions by using

    <meta name ="robot" content="noodp">
    <meta name ="googlebot" content="noodp">

    we may also use the following code for removing pages which have already been indexed
    <meta name ="googlebot" content ="unavailable_after: 18-SEP-2010 15:00:00 EST">
    specify the date and time format as shown above (date should be valid, not previous date)
    thanks

    Don't be confused about it, it is simple, cached page is displayed according to the time when it was cached, so you can also find the meta tag that were associated with your website at that time, may be you have changed something thats why you are confused!
