I have an indexing problem with Google. I have a zen-cart powered website which I am still playing with. But when I search for www.mydomain.com, the result turns out www.anotherdomain.com which has no any connection with my site and is also zen-cart powerd. Both sites are on different IPs. How could this happen? Thanks for any input.
Try searching for like this in Google: site:yourdomainname.cmo That will bring up pages within your site that are indexed. Justing typing your domain name in the search box will bring up results of sites that will also mention your site on theirs.
Here is the Google search url http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=www.echinesegifts.com, which shows another site which does not mention my site on its page. This is weird and I never saw this before. I tried to 301 http://mysite.com to http://www.mysite.com days ago. But because a login problem, I changed it back to http://mysite.com. Now a search for www.mysite.com and mysite.com both turns out the other site which has no relation with me. But a search for site:mysite.com shows my site.
a quick glance sure can't explain it. must be another "bad data push". i have a site acting up in google right now. i think like most people are saying, google is broken.
Google's cache of your site (cache:http://echinesegifts.com/) shows the other site - did you mistakenly 301 to the other site?
Very weird the google autogenerated commands link: related: and cache: all point ot the other domain while site: seems to be pointing correctly. Likely bad Google data? Never seen that before?
