I had registered a domain on 30th, setup a site, uploaded some content, and today I see my site has one page indexed in google. I think this justifies the theory that sandbox doesn't exist.
the sandbox has nothing to do with a website getting indexed, most people including me can, or know how to get a site indexed in 24 hours.
The sandbox effect is when a competitive or even a semi competitive keyword word can be difficult to rank for a substanial period of time. Getting indexed is totally unrelated in that regard. But congratulations in getting indexed.
So I miss understood the phenomena of "sandbox" I thought( had read in many threads) sandbox is when Google take time to index a site... I have read many threads where people are complaining that there site didn't get indexed, and many people said its because of Google sandbox effect. Oh well!
The people that are complaining of not getting their sites indexed is probably because they do not have any backlins to the domain for the googlebot to spider and find the site. However, google can sometimes take quite a bit of time in indexing a site even with a good backlink or two.
Sorry but getting indexed fast < 24hrs > dont prove that sandbox dont exist . Though its good to get indexed fast
You are very lucky to get your site indexed after one day! Congratulations mate! But sandbox is not about not getting indexed. It's where google puts you when you violates some of its rules. It's where you go when your site is banned.
so can anybody explain what the heck this sandbox is... I always thought its something that prevents site being getting indexed in google? isnt it?
it offically doesnt exist. what your seeing is an aging effect. I got my index page into google in the first day, but the other 10,000 urls has taken about 5/6months so far. Some get around it with good backlinks, Others get around it with buying aged/old domains Some like it hot, some like it cold. Theres other factors but nobody knows the whole story otherwise the spammers could just spam the whole index if they fully knew how it worked. Pierce
Getting indexed in a day is not hard, I registered a doman on the 27th Dec and my google cache shows the 28th Dec, this includes the fact it took 18hours for my dns to update. The sandbox effect is more to do with whether or not your site will show for the keywords you are trying to maximise when someone does a search. The key to getting indexed is backlinks, I only wrote an article on my new site and a new post on my blog which is crawled all the time and that was enough for google to find it.
You can find information about sandbox here http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=71522 . Cheers.
Yeah, I recently had one indexed in a couple of days, just added some content and linked it on a blog of mine that gets regularly crawled. This one: www.cigarlife.net
you got your homepage index and thats good. now look at how it behaves over the next couple months. you will drop in and out of the index, sub-pages will take longer to index and will probably end up supplemental...
