I had a site indexed in 1 hour with 4300 pages. All pages went straight to PR7 except the home page which was PR8. Google Adsense ads were on every page. Formats were different for every page to give it uniqueness. Keywords for every page were at number 1 on all Search Engines. The site experienced a little over 435 million hits which overloaded my host's server when it hit 425 million hits. I checked Adsense at the end of the day to see I had amassed US$146,887.97 with US$14,553.00 from Google Search. Then I woke up.

Yeah the same happened on one of my blogs - indexed by MSN, Yahoo within 24 hours and Google 2 days later. It's not impossible, but you must have had a link to your website for that to happen.

I had the same thing with sholiz.com Up about a week now and indexed in both Yahoo and Google, but I've been indexed since I checked and that was like 3 days after I bought domain and got the site setup. But I had links in my sig here, and at another site of mine so I think I was easily crawlable.
I've had some sits hit Yahoo within a day or two. Technorati is usually great for getting a site to Yahoo quickly. The Technorati tag pages can be a great way for search engines to find your site. I have a few theories on how to exploit this a bit more, but I haven't had time to test them much yet.
