I'm starting a movie site, a movie review site and I want to use the movie poster images from allposters.com. I would save the image to my computer and re insert it on my website. Is this against copyright? How can i get images of the movie posters to use?

    Thanks !

Unless you have asked the owner of the copyright permission to use them then it is breach of copyright.

What can be very tricky is finding who actually owns the copyright to get permission as some people/ places will give you "permission" but as they dont own the rights their permission doesnt mean anything and you would still be liable for the damages.

Contract the film companies and they may give you blanket rights to use but not redistribute the images.

I'd contact that affiliate program manager and tell them what you want to do.

It's amazing what you can accomplish when you "talk" to people.

But, don't just take their stuff for a movie review. That's not even remotely covered in the Fair Use clause of the Copyright Act.

Just curious, but what did you (OP) end up doing? I'm also looking for a way to get a hold of movie poster images.
