www.EnglishLessonsLondon.com It's my site for my business teaching english lessons. What do you guys think of the sales pitch? Do you think it needs more pictures/videos/testimonials? Anything else I should add or take out, thanks. Murphy
the bad then the good... Your first line made me cry: "Learning good English improve your chances of getting a job, making friends and getting on well in London." Grammar is a handy skill to learn and SO important for a language-based website. The odd spacing in between sentences looks wrong (not to mention my "this is a scraped and copied website" spider-sense was tingling as I read it Make it more personal - you say on the front page "My Name is John" but then you have "Contact Us" - try "Contact Me" to engage the user. The good You included a picture - well DONE! (now put it on the front page ) Translation links on the right are great The message of the site is simple and clear
Your site is looking average. I think you can made your site using relative picture. I don't understand your site provide online tutorials or only sell only materials ? you put translation option at your site, I like it.
the first impression about any sites comes from the design. In you case, the design is very average, just like a blog. Try to put some motivating banner for students that can influence them for more page view. Displaying testimonials is again another important point that you can follow.
Thanks everyone. 1cheapwebsite, I have made all the changes you mentioned, I think. (I'll go over the site with a fine tooth comb tomorrow to check for anymore 'odd spacing.') You're also probably right about putting my picture on the front page. I hate putting myself out there though and I'm hoping to hire some other teachers pretty soon, so I can just run the business. But seeing as thats not the case at the moment I should probably make it more personal, you're right about that. Thanks a lot and if you have anymore feedback hit me up with it.
You got a pretty good domain name at least. It looks okay.... I would definitely try to make it look more professional.
