I would like to start flipping start up sites. I make qaulity templates and I write informative articles and i already have a targeted website to draw traffic from. What hosting/ domain registering companies work best for flipping websites. I just want the transaction to go as smooth as possible for my buyer. Which companies offer the easiest owner transfer tools? Any other site flipping tips or article links appreciated =)
Godaddy is best for domains, and if you need cheap hosting you could use suntex or iwhic Hostgator is like 10$ a month
Godaddy is a widely known registrar, you can consider dreamhost for hosting for the first year they are 24 usd for unlimited domains with discount code.Since you are going to sell sites next year you can close your account and start another one.
My current host only charges $2.99 usd a month... I don't hear many people talk about them but it's cheap. I'm not sure how hard it would to transfer ownership. I may just talk to them directly about it since they've been great about answering questions fast. I'll grab the link if anyones interested... just pm me.
generally when a site is sold the hosting does not included , domain ,files and database will be enough. By the way if your site is good enough the buyer does not care about the transfer process etc.
I have also thought about flipping websites for a profit. What are some things to look out for when evaluating a prospective site?
Nothing wrong with a little healthy competition . I have built and sold a few websites. I go with Namecheap for domains, you can transfer them with a click of a button and they show up in the other users account straight away. I then use hostgator for hosting the site. You cant go wrong with $9.99 a month. When transferring the site it is just a case of transferring files to the new webhost if it's just a static html site. If you are planning on building wordpress sites it gets a tiny bit more complicated. When selling a site communication is the key. Some people just want you to send them the files, and they will ftp them to their own hosting themselves, and other people want you to transfer the site for them. It all depends on the buyers preferances if that makes sense lol. Thanks Clare
