    Dear Folks,

I am having validation problems too, and would appreciate whatever help I can get.

I am getting this message in red: "Site failed automatic validation as of 2005-05-28 (make sure URL and site type is correct - if everything is correct, make a request in the forum for assistance)."

I have gone through the setup instructions. I have created the three files and installed them in my main directory. I have verified with my hosting company that the server supports .php . And I have added the code to my site's pages (www.dishliving.com). I have also set permissions on the .txt and the .htaccess files to read and write. Still no validation.

Thanks again for any advice you can give!
    :)

Yes, it was also asking me to "save" a file when I tried to log on in windows, wouldn't even open my site. My Mac opened it just fine - so I didn't realize the problem until your reply - thanks! :)

This problem seems to have happened when I gave the .php, .txt and .access files write permission, 'cause that was the main change I made last night.

Now I have removed those files and don't know what to do. Should they be in the .php uploads directory of my site?

I am also wondering if I have the code that is supposed to be pasted in our web pages (for .php enabled sites) is in the right place. Is there a particular place in the .html that it is supposed to be? I assumed it went where I wanted the shared ads to appear. Thanks in advance for any advice!
