Ok, here is the scenerio... The site is about 20 months old and with a PR of 2. It runs Adsense and CJ ads exclusively. The niche is financial and we rank for some highly competitive terms like "financial help" and some others. The site is about 95% original content and we add new content a couple times a month. We use AWR to check our sites and their rankings on a daily basis. This only happens on the one site and we build and treat all sites the same with regards to content and links. What we see happening is this... When things are good the site will rank in Google for about 15-20 keywords. Then a couple days later it will drop from Google and only rank for about 5 keywords. It will continue like this for a couple days or a week (we've even seen it up to 10 days) and than suddenly rank again for 15-20 keywords. I never drops all keywords but when it does it appears to be the same ones every time. Also, during this time it never drops from Yahoo or MSN. Any thoughts on why this is happening would be most helpful.
So I'm really looking around to find more info out on this because when the site ranks it pulls in $100+ a day. When it doesn't it does $30-$40 so you can imagine I have some motivation to keep in ranked. I just found this on Google... Automated queries Google's Terms of Service do not allow the sending of automated queries of any sort to our system without express permission in advance from Google. Sending automated queries absorbs resources and includes using any software (such as WebPosition Goldâ„¢) to send automated queries to Google to determine how a website or webpage ranks in Google search results for various queries. Anyone had any problems with sites and automated queries? How about sites that run Crazy Egg?
