What is going on? What the hell is wrong with Google? My site (PR7) with thousands relevant backlinks dropped from SERPs today On the other hand, I see many low quality/spam sites getting top positions for my primary keywords.... Is it temporary changes or what is going on?
That is happening since the last year. Google on some updates are not reliable, it drops good sites and put spam at the top. Then they correct the thing but the old rankings are unfortunally lost. I think only wikipedia survive to this.
it happens to every web site. having all types of backlinks (directory, article , blog posts) will help you to avoid from this types of serp changes
Happened to me too, hoping it gets corrected too. If not, there goes 4 months of SEO work I put into my blog. Google needs to stop acting like all the hot women who laughed in my face when I asked them out, and show me some loving for once.
The "google dance" will happen to most sites that have high ranking. The ranking's will return in as little as a week or as long as 3 months.
Not only that (the "dance") but don't forget that this is a long-term investment you're getting into. Like the stock market, you don't want to bail out when the going gets rough; the search engines will correct themselves and you'll not only be back to your old rankings, but if you also took the time to maintain your site, you can actually improve your position.
very strange....got back to page #1 for my primary keywords tonight after complete absense for 3 days. very wierd that google treat PR7 sites like that btw, thank you guys for your help
Just hang on for a while, this happened numerous times before a google PR Update. Seems like one is coming soon : ))
