sorry if this has been discussed before but i am a little confused at my recent rank change on google. I used to be between 6 and 8 position for the term "bass fishing tips". for the last 3 days i have dropped to ~67 on all datacenters. I didnt do anything at all. it just appeared to have happened overnight. anyone have some suggestions or something to get me back up to the front page? thanks!

I would say this type of daily changes are not uncommon in google, I have seen several time for my site. Most comeback without doing much.

    Hello!

For around 2 month I leave top ten Google for many keywords, this morning my site back to top ten.

    What I did?
    1- Add new content every 2 / 4 days
    2- Build link
3- Take off my link/site from websites that are selling keywords tag links. As I could see, maybe Google is looking these websites as Link Farm. I know we can find cheap PR5 for $2/permanent, but you can loose your ranking on Google...

    This is my experience.
    Best regards,
    Jakomo

I guess this could be because of competition.

    try reworking on keywords.

    Hello ecom....

This is not a competition update... As you can see around this forum or webmasterworld forum, many websites were affected for Google...

    Best,
    Jakomo

I noticed this too. One of my sites has been holding on to the 3rd position for it's main keyphrase in Google but has dropped to 13th. Not a huge drop but crappy nonetheless.

I haven't spent enough time to check all the important SEO blogs yet, but some think its because of new patent implementing.

The sudden change in Google SERPs happened about a week ago, and the change was rather "big one", affecting thousands of sites. Trying a normal SEO is of course better than doing nothing, but if you lost your position at SERPs strictly due to the change, you may not know why for a while until we find out the very cause. It may take some time or someone can find it out soon.
