    hi
my site is down YET AGAIN. my hosts arent responding to my emails!

I want to move my domain name (activesleep.com) to a new, cheap paypal host ASAP. Any links/offers?

Since my hosts aren't replying can i still get the name transferred?
(the site is a parked domain at activesleep.pirate-land.com).

I use http://www.hytekhosting.com (pretty good uptime) and http://www.steadfast.net (great uptime). Hope it works out.

If you have access to your domain you may change the nameservers and that would be fine. However, I don't think it is registered on your name, is it? whois.domaintools.com/activesleep.com
I always register my domains directly with a registrar so if my hosting starts messing around I can quickly dump them without much loss :).

I've been using soniqhost.com lately...seems good so far.

Also, i only use godaddy and namecheap to register domains names.

    SPOT DOMAIN LLC DBA DOMAINSITE.COM

Try contacting domainsite.com and see what they can do. Thats a good point above, always register your name with the domain company and not the host.

Seeing that your domain name is not registered more than 3 months, it is possible that your current DNS Registrar placed a lock to prevent it from being transferred. That actually is not an issue. However, what concerns me is that the domain name seems to be registered with Elite Servers, I assume you are using their hosting and in which you will need to work with them to release your domain name to you and place it under your name or else you probably are trapped.

The other issue is that most of the time, your host will not release it. You can contact the registrar and see if they will help you, but I doubt it. Your other choice is to just give in and get a new domain and transfer all content to a new domain. yes, that idea sucks, but I guess it is better than not being online at all.
