The site is: Scientific American. When I access this particular site in Firefox, they show the cookie consent banner. But not in my Chrome browser. Now I do not encounter Scientific American paywall in my Chrome any more. But I have it in the Firefox. There is nothing in the On-device site data settings.
You might want to check your Firefox privacy settings or try clearing your cookies to see if that helps resolve the consent banner and access issues.
To resolve the issue, try clearing cookies and cache in Firefox or check if any extensions are interfering with the website. If you want the same behavior across both browsers, ensure that settings like cookies, cache, and extensions are aligned.
The issue is not with Firefox, but rather Chrome. When I access Scientic American site with all the other browsers (Firefox, Edge, Brave and Tor), the site appears normal with its cookie banner. But when I use Chrome, the cookie banner dos not pops up, and at the address bar, it shows the icon (stack of cookies with a slash) "Don't allow site to save data on the device". I have already disabled all my extensions, and in the on-device site data settings, it is set as "Allow sites to save dta on your device".
