I have a few sites going through this ..they appear and then disapear ..and then return again as soon as I give up hope for them. completly sucks ;(
In late Jan. I had a site drop from #1 on Google for it's main keyword, to nowhere to be found. Recently, around the 11th or 12th, it's back up to #1 again. I'd just give it some time and see if it works itself out.
It's the same for me. 2006 #1 for my main keywords, 3 weeks ago not to be found. Now back at #1. My advice wait for 3-4 weeks.
Again, I want to thank everyone for sharing their stories, it has definately given me much needed hope. I appreciate it. This is the first time this has happened to me so I really don't know what to expect.
Well, you're not alone Janet. I'm still waiting for Google to get some of my pages out from the supplemental basket
Google still updating his algo. But continue getting more relevant links in your site to get out in Supplemental Pages. Good luck!

Could your javascript to stay in frames be the cause of some of your problems?
make a new site i do not depend on one sites rankings and neither should you, dont trust any SE seriously though good luck mk
I don't think I would panic and make too many drastic changes until it has been gone for about two weeks. I think Google does this sometimes just to shake things up a bit. If they didn't then the very top sites would always be the very top sites. MSN did it last month.
Well, I am not a web developer and have absolutely no experience in that field so I can't just throw up a new site when one has problems like so many on this forum can. Although I wish I could. I just have the one site and most likely that is all I ever will have. It is basically a site I run as a hobby now, but I hope to make some money from it down the line. As far as the frames go, I know now that they are not the best way to go, however, I have been ranking very well in all search engines for almost a year now with no problems. I highly doubt that google woke up one morning and decided it didn't like my frames and kicked me out of the rankings. However, I suppose anything is possible. I do have some good news, one of my main search terms is *crawling* its way back up in the rankings. I finally found it on page 18 or so and today it is on page 4. (it was #3). So, maybe this is a sign of things correcting. Who knows.
As of this morning, my site isn't back where it was in the SERPs, but better! I am ranking higher for some top-level keywords now and my number one spots I had for some keywords have been restored. I spent a little over a week "off Google". Those who had the same problem in this thread may want to check their places on Google now.
For those of you that had your site disappear than return, did it return slowly (like a few keywords at a time) or one day everything was back to the way it was?
Hi guys. I just wanted to update you on my current situation. I am very happy to report that after falling off the map on Feb 9th, I have regained all of my serp positions as of yesterday. Some keyphrases are even ranking slightly higher. I hope that is stays this way, but from what I have learned going through this experience is that anything can happen. Thanks again for your support and for those of you still having problems with your google rankings, I wish you all the best~
