Site design to convert search traffic

    Hi,

    I am looking for some advice here. My site http://www.apopularitycontest.com is starting to get a lot of traffic from google. The hits are bringing them to the 4,000+ polls on the sites. Any suggestions on how to get them to join or at least vote. Right now I get about 1 out of 100 to join, and about 1 in 7 to vote.

    Design wise, highlight this:

    "Create A Free Account on APopularityContest.com"

    Maybe use a nice web 2.0 glossy style, a larger font/thicker with a seal somewhere there. Typically web 2.0. Just make this text stand out more.
