I am designing my site - hmstudios.freei.me/home.html - at the moment and I would like people to tell me if I have gone wrong anywhere in the coding or anything and what I should do to improve it. I have it on a free host at the minute as I am looking for new host.
To make it easy if you are not expirenced then try using the wordpress its easy fast. Just need a day time and you are live next day. Its a open source like linux. Easy to install every webhosting company provide free of cost. Istall upload wordpress themes of you choice and paste content.
Color is key - you have to remember, people perceive colors differently, so in reference to your site, you've used a dark background, and therefore, the foreground (text) should ideally be in a contrasting lighter color so that the site is easy to "read" - a good reference for color schemes which tend to go with each other would be: www.sessions.edu/career_center/design_tools/color_calculator Other then that .. I think you are doing well otherwise .. I guess it is sometimes difficult to comment on "work-in-progress", so until you've completed some aspect of the site, it's difficult to image what you "see" you site as .. Hope that helps
Waaaay too dark, can't see a damn thing. Brighten this up! (alot) Don't use the default font, times new roman or whatever it is. Widen this, 800x600 is a thing of the past. It's "innovation", not "inovation".
Your website's color scheme is too dull dear. You should change it. see the website ::http://www.templatemonster.com for some inspiration on website designing
Hi, As far as hosting concerns then there are so many sites that provides hosting services, the are hostingfarms.com, bluehost.com. You can go through these for better affordability. Thanks!!
Erm, I don't know how noone has pointed this out yet but if you plan on using that website commercially you might want to re-think that logo. It's a mirror image of the UPS logo. Unless you wanna get sued, I'd suggest to drastically change the logo. Also, the color scheme is way too dark. I'd also suggest going for more of a 900px-wide site (fit for 1024 resolutions) since 800x600 has been shoved under the carpet for about 2 years now. (Check this on the w3c site> browser info page)
