I would love to have some feedback for my site http://www.just911cars.com.

I have always built sites with design and usability in mind, the problem is google is forcing people to put unnecessary text on pages to rank well.

I have created a "site description" section at the bottom of my page, what do you think?

The other things is, I am really struggling to get my site out of the starting blocks on google. my site has been running for almost a year now and I cannot seem to get in the top 500 results in google for "used porsche 911".

I am number 1 in MSN, but a 3 year old baby could manage that!

Do I have enough backlinks? I think I do
Has my site been around long enough? newer sites rank for this keyword

    I just dont get it!

I would really appreciate any help, suggestions, comments, abuse you care to offer. thanks in advance :)

Right off I see one thing that I think you could change- The title is to long. Also the site description looks spammy. I would try to incorporate some marketing copy in attached to the rest of the site . I hate to keep tooting the WEB CEO horn but its a tool that works for me. It has an awesome optimization analyzer and its free. ...just my 2cents

    Thanks ladesignz,

When you refer to the description are talking about the meta data or the site description section at the bottom of the page?

Thanks for the WEB CEO tip, I have just installed it and about to give it a test run :)

If you really care about usability you should try validating your website (http://validator.w3.org), it gave me around 54 errors for your site.
One asthetic issue, since you are using a fixed design, it would be nice to see the bottom links centered (About us, terms and conditions, etc.).
Another thing, it might just be me, but the home page seems a bit 'crammed.' It looks like the quick search is your main target, but it's importance is somewhat offset by the pictures below it.
Other than that, site looks good. I like the color scheme. I can't really say much for google as my site has been up for about a year and a half and has finally began to appear in search results. I think due to it's time-based algorithm, patience is the most important thing with G.
    Keep on plugging!

Other than the centering of the links at the bottom, I think the front page looks good. The menu words don't seem to have much contrast (too lite in color) on my monitor. You also might want to consider optimizing the images. They are over 50K which makes for a slow loading page for anyone without broadband.

Relevant links are never bad, and I would definetly say work on getting more with a PR3.

Also, specialises is spelled "specializes" and "specialising" - specializing.

As stated, you need to validate your html. That's the biggest problem I see. Add an "alt" description to your images as the robot can't read the text on your menu images. FYI, google doesn't see the underscore in your page names as a space, so you should be naming them "whats-it-worth.php." Making that change directly won't show any PR for the page until the next update. You should use a 301 redirect/mod_rewrite if you make the change.
