Site copyright automatic date

I have on the footer of my site - Copyright "site name" 2008. I forgot to change it when we entered 2009. I there a small piece of code I can insert to make the year change automatically?

In php, you can do:

Copyright site name <?php echo date('Y'); ?>

PHP:

 

or use this

 <script type="text/javascript">
now = new Date
theYear=now.getYear()
if (theYear < 1900)
theYear=theYear+1900
document.write(theYear)
</script>

Yea first 1 is better as long as page is php if its html then javascript will do the trick

 

Yeh, I forgot to say that I always use php pages.
