Hi all, My site was completely deranked from google a few days ago, the site has around 2 months and it had been doing quite well in the first months. I've been adding content to it pretty much everyday and was all going fine. However, a few days ago got completely deranked, everything disappeared from google rankings and search console also shows barely any impressions (few are from me searching site:xxx). Any idea why this happened and how I can fix it? Really strange why everything disappeared from one day but I don't really know what to do here. The site is https://yummycasinos.com/ and here is the impressions graph from console: https://ibb.co/Lx6XnDg Thank you for the help
As its is new site, Google tends to give new sites an artificial initial boost in the rankings. After a while it settles to where it naturally ranks. Probably not a lot you can do as you are in a super competitive niche and unless you have big $ for back link campaigns, then you not going to do well.
Essentially it's a directory and I'm guessing it's full of affiliate links. The text I checked came up as unique so well done there, it's probably very difficult to find a new way of saying the same things over and over. You go into a lot of detail, well done. Your site is, however, very new and as @Agent000 pointed out it's a fierce niche to tackle. Online gambling is well established and many have come before you running this type of site. You just have to keep plugging away, getting backlinks where you can, writing blog posts, even posts on sites like Medium that provide a backlink. The big question is what is your time worth? What else could you be doing that will provide you with a more certain income? Can you stick it out or will you get disheartened?
thanks for the feedback, the main thing here is that many pages were ranking quite decently and from one day to the other they disappeared from google rankings. It's not that we started ranking worse, it literally went to 0. We had some very niche pages that were ranking top in google and they are nowhere to be found. It doesn't really make sense to me that it completely disappears everything. Is there a way to check why is this happening and how can it be fixed? Thanks again for your help
This is one of the worst niches you can enter to be honest. Casinos are a YMYL niche and you need to adhere to the guidelines exactly and that still doesn't guarantee anything. The first issue that was clear is you have no About us or Contact Us pages. These are Trust signals and very important on any site especially on a Casino site. You're not using an H1 on your Homepage either. Using the (site search operator, your site is still showing your pages are indexed in Google (for now). More than likely you had a manual review or Google's algorithm noticed you're missing those two important pages. No other obvious issues jumped out at me.
It sounds like your site may have been affected by a Google algorithm update or a penalty. A sudden drop in rankings can happen for various reasons, such as: Algorithm Update: Google periodically releases updates that can impact rankings, especially for new websites. Check Google’s updates to see if one aligns with your drop. Quality Issues: If Google’s crawlers detected low-quality content, thin content, or possible SEO manipulation (e.g., keyword stuffing or unnatural backlinking), it could result in a penalty. Technical Issues: A problem like crawling or indexing issues (e.g., noindex tags, robots.txt blocking) might prevent Google from properly indexing your site. To fix this, focus on improving content quality, fixing any technical issues, and reviewing your SEO practices. You can also request a reconsideration review in Google Search Console if you suspect a manual penalty. It’s important to be patient as Google may take time to reassess your site’s rankings.
Did you even bother checking the site before posting an AI generated response? Hint: perhaps you should.
