You really want the brutal truth.. No, actually it looks alright. Maybe think about putting more work into the top and header. I think you need a proper header, and space it out across the whole top.
It looks good enough to pass for a regular blog site (from the user end, not us)... you have a lot of white space at the top. Can you make that cityscape logo go across the entire site?
Add colour to your site. The white background is making it a bit boring. Maybe you should use a template which uses other colors for headings than blue. It can "liven" things up.
