I'm making a site about how to make your own model rocket engines. I want to be sure I don't get in trouble though. I'm pretty sure that the original site that I learned from had no disclaimer. But right now I just have a couple sentences that say it's dangerous and I won't be held responsible for your actions. Is that good enough?
You could make a separate page, where you explain the dangers in-depth, and perhaps link to some burn-victims pages etc. The most important thing is just to explain that it's a dangerous business. I'd also check with other rocketry sites, both professional and amateur, to see how they solve this problem.
With this type of subject matter I would recommend taking about $200 and hiring a lawyer to write a disclaimer for you. It will be well worth the money. Look up a lawyer in your area and give them a call.
Red, bold writing up at the top of every page. "WARNING: The following is dangerous and should not be done at any time." That pretty much covers all your bases. Doesn't give room for people to sue you saying there are exceptions in your disclaimer or anything. Might even want to post it in a few different languages. By the way, would you PM me a link to the site? Total homegrown fireworks junkie here. Heh.
