    Hey,

i am starting a project that will have about 10+ websites/blogs.

Does google penalize you for linking to 'sister sites'?

i read on here somewhere that google doesn't like it.

I would think it was ok if they were to do with the same topic, but mine aren't, they would all be slightly different.

Look forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks!

i would only link to them if they are relevent to your current site, i doubt you will get banned for linking to sister sites but the link will most probally be de-valued if its not related.

I'm doing this currently with my Health-Hack.com network of health related sites. Each is on a different aspect of health. They are pretty much all interlinked (most are on subdomains, one is still on blogger) and the PR is getting passed around, at least.

The main Health-Hack.com site is one of the biggest referrers to the others. The #1 referrer is MSN for most sites, but many of them are much newer than the main site, which gets a lot of Google action.
