    Hi,

I am planning on buy a domain name for specific keywords.

Now the singular version of the keyword returns: 40500 Monthly Searches
But the plural version of the keyword returns: 5400 Monthly Searches
    - Based on google keyword tool

    Here are my domain options:

Singular version dot com - taken / parked
Singular version dot net/org/info - available
Plural version dot com - available

I am planning on running a mini niche site on this with adsense.

Can anyone please suggest me which domain choice is better for me and which is not and why.

I will really appreciate any help.

    Thanks a lot,
    Aditya

after the last penguin update, EMDs (exact match domains) don't really matter much. in fact, lot of EMDs even got penalized by google for over optimization. just pick a domain name that is easy to remember and not worry too much about the search results.

That (ranking losses after Penguin) was nothing to do with the domain names, but the "SEO" done by the owners.

Don't obsess about the domain name too much. Get one that you like (you could even add "guide" or "tips" on the end, or it could be a brandable domain name and not contain a keyword). Just focus on the content. With good content (read: written for humans), you won't even need to worry about backlinks to rank.

I'd go with the plural. You can still rank for the single keyword.

I would also subscribe for the .com plural. It\s better for ranking + you can rank for two keywords, the singular and the plural.

I would advise you to go for plural version of the keyword as it will cover your singular keyword as well.
