Well... Its obvious that if you have more sites you will earn more.

But all of them must get decent traffic so that you can earn. :)

Normally multiple sites pay more but it depends a lot on other factors and its not always necessary that multiple sites make more than a single site.

If you have 100 sites and each one gets 10 visitors per day then having a site with 1000 daily visitors is much beneficial as maintenance cost of 100 sites would be much higher than a single one.

Actually there is no exact answer to your question because it depends on how much visitors you are getting per day, what's your ROI on sites etc.

Always take about quality, then only followed by quantity.
1 quality site is better than 100 rubbish site.
Of course, 100 quality site will better than 1 quality site

I would say no more than 5 websites. As people have said you need quality websites with quality content that is updated at least now and then. If you can manage more than 5 and give each individual site your full attention than by all means do it. But I would suggest just making a few and putting a lot of time into them.

Depends on what's the service/content of that single page is. If it offers a very unique service then it would get more visitors and generate income, but a day would come that someone will copy your unique idea and create a duplicate website like yours. The advantage of multiple page is you can get more page load and more page loads means high cpm and you might get high ctr if you place your ads in different position in every page.

See your resources, if you can produce countless quality sites then go with it. If not then make at least one. I make more from 1 and rests don't even make 1/10 th of the first one.

I've got four blogs but only one is regularly updated, and this gives 90% of my advert income.

It doesn't matter even if you have a single site. Get a good quality content on it and refresh it on regular basis.
