Since my pr update from 0/10 to 3/10 i seem to be getting more yahoo spiders on today they have been on all day sometimes in there 3 s or 4s any reason for this, before the update they only came on every or 3 times a week. www.totalfmforums.co.uk
i was wondering that if my profile has risen on google maybe it has a cascading affect on yahoo to some degree. ie if im recognised with google do other search engines see that as a plus point, then increase my serps
I don't think Yahoo is ripping PR toolbar data from G to determine SERP placement. If they ever did such a thing it would probably break G's T&Cs. ~HN Will
i think your missing my point surely if you rank high on an established engine it must have a knock on effect on other engines.
You are looking at it incorrectly. Google, Yahoo, and MSN each use their own algorithms to define their serps. However all of them of course use a similar structure for the math. So let's say Google counts inbound links well so might Y or MSN...hence if you do well in G because of your links then Y and MSN will also display positive results. However it's very doubtful that just because you rank well in G that it creates an effect at them. Build it and they will come. "THEY" are the search engines...do something good for G and the others follow.
