Lol I wish had time for that type of thing! I guess I'll have to see an iphone in action to see what any optimizations would entail, or if they're needed...

First just gonna see how well the iphone does.

One big flaw I noticed with the iPhone is that it doesn't have raised keys...which are good for dialing while driving :)

I've actually sent text messages back and forth while driving :D

I wont do it again tho, it's not safe. But I don't miss having buttons one bit.

now when i use a old phone, it looks / feels so primative

Isn't iPhone supposed to have a "full version" of Safari?

So no need to change anything, if Apple's advertising is true.

You don't need to change a thing to make your website compatible like you would for blackberry or sidekick.

I use my regular iGoogle on mine.

I'm going to call bs here.

I text maybe 50 messages a day on my iphone, I can type as fast as I can talk. and not once have my fingers hurt. I show my friends all the time who think no buttons are bad.

No buttons = GOOD. I can type faster on this then any other mobile device I've had.

It's amazing in every way. I will NEVER own another phone that has a physical keyboard.

There are somethings missing that will be fixed in the next software update:
    no ichat
    no mms
    no video camera

these are all software updates that can fix these shortcomings. Otherwise for a rev A product, it is amazing.

Once you get used to it, the touchscreen beats raised buttons, no doubt about it. I still get thumb cramps no matter what I'm using for texting, but I think that has more to do with my thumbs than with the device. If you want your children to grow up to become efficient texters, don't let them play catcher in Little League. Trust me on that one.
