    These studies assume that rain is a constant.

    But what if its raining lightly and looks like its could rain really hard?

    If its raining lightly I reckon its better to run just in case it starts raining hard.

    Would you be better walking into the wind or slaloming across to avoid more drops perhaps?
    If you've only got a shower proof jecket, then would it be better to run whilst it stil deflects the water, but then slow as it becomes saturated.

    Personally, I like walking in the rain, so I take my time. :)
