I also found that it works. I tested in a two week span and I have an increase of clicks around 15%. Nice
Current average CTR a staggering 1.94 for January (today 2.24) Have changed the ad to a perfect arrow as described. Will see how things go and report back.
Believe it or not, I was able to test this for a couple hours last night and did see my CTR increase. Many of the clicks did not convert, however, it did get more than average CTR. Isn't it amazing how the subconscious mind has a direct affect on your behavior without you being aware of it?
Sometimes you don't need much substance, though...the competition can help provide that for you. (Depends on your niche and the ad, of course.) I tried the arrow thing and didn't get much of an increase using. But I ended up trying some other variations of bolding and got a big jump in CTR. Bottom line, as always: test it for yourself.
I dont think the arrow things is causing the CTR increase its the 3 bold words which catches users attraction thatz causing the increase in clicks., Before voting, i would suggest changing the position of the 3 Words and see the CTR Difference.,
I'll give this a try. I think it's more the 3 bolded words than the arrow that's actually drawing in people. I'll test both ways for two weeks and report back what I find.
I just made 3 campaigns with different keywords using this technique. I'll keep posting the results in few days... I target the 7-10 spot though since I don't want to pay higher bid. As said, 1-3 is good, 4-6 not so good, 7-10 good again...
