Simple SWF edit

    Hi everyone,

I have found a swf player I'd like for my site however there is a problem, the file only works on the domain livevss(.)net. If it is opened on another website it'll currently redirect to livevss(.)net. So quite simply, what I'd like someone with a swf editor to do is download the file (can be done easily through "Tools", "Page Info", "Media" on Firefox - if you can't get the file I can send it to you), then open the file on a swf editor and change the settings so the new swf only works on my site (I will PM you the url). So in effect all you need to do is find livevss(.)net in the actionscript and change it with my websites url. Then it just needs to be uploaded onto the web. Nothing else needs to be done.

I believe this will be a fairly simple task for someone who knows how. If you can do it please send me a PM with a quote and your timeframe. I need this done asap, so the sooner you can get in touch with me the better. First REASONABLE quote gets the job. Simple.

The file I need editing is: http://www.swfupload.com/files/29115aek2_Secure.swf

    Thank you.

that's right, its not always possible to decompile swf, sometimes upon decompilation something breaks in. so the best thing is to get the source file, .fla if its possible.

You will need the .fla, you may be better off asking someone to create a new media player, using the one on that site as the model for the requirements since it has things you like. Make sure the domain they hardcode for you is not externalized, and placed in a var of frame one so you can easily change it, maybe you can resel it then afterwards. Recoup some of the money.

Thank you for all your PM's and attempts at converting and editing it. No one on DP managed to make the edit (although some came close), but in the end I managed to track down the person who originally made it and came to an agreement with him.
