Which extension of files is better to use for SEO ? .html .php .asp - Files without extension or any other extensions That is very interesting question to discuss.
Web page extensions do not have any SEO value, considering you could use htaccess to read PHP files as HTML or ASP files at PHP. Choose based on your needs for your website.
I would say its not true, but I want to hear some other opinions and than to let you know what I am thinking
How do you figure it's not true? You can make the extension what you want, I can make it *.suck and have it processed as a PHP page and still rank just as good. Web page extensions have no SEO value in search engine algorithms, if that was the case everyone would use the most "weighted" one.
I think it really doesn't matter. I think most of the reason people uses asp or php it's because they want their page to be generated dynamically. If you are generating your page dynamically than i believe SE will have a harder time to crawl your site. Am I right? Correct me if not. Thanks,
In my opinion google divides extension to priority, like folder and files, from my own experience all my folders gets to the main index and the rest gets to supplemental. From analyzing other sites , even if you will take any big ones like ebay, kijiji or any else , you can pay attention that they are not using any extensions which I would say they are doing on purpose. Maybe be I am wrong
As algorithms mature dynamic URLs won't be a problem, the issue with dynamic URLs "was" that pages were created via one URL one day and then the next another. This was common with data parameters and such.
