    I haven't done much with CGI or Ajax in terms of file uploading.

    Say, if you go to speedyshare.com, their progress bar simply returns the percentage of upload.

    Are there any premade scripts or information on doing such with CGI or Ajax?

    I believe you need to have PECL package APC or uploadprogress installed on your server for this type of thing even before you find a script

    You can do this using a mixture of JS/Flash. Have a look for YUI uploader, jQuery or swfupload.

    Thanks - I'm taking a look at some of the jQuery stuff. That seems to work well also. =)
