Hi I need an application which is compatible with mac's and pc's, so i would guess that java would be the best language to program this in. The application is going to be an MP3 search engine (not web app), it will search several sources, when the user enters a term and they will be returned results which they can stream (in the applications player), or download. It should integrate well with itunes and have an attractive and simple to use interference. I would also like to have it set up so that the script is protected by a liscence key and without one they only get a 10 day free trial. So the sales section of the sales website will also have to be set up. I am looking to complete this project for around $60, but would like a long term relationship with the programmer, including many updates to the application which i have in mind.
