Feedback: Ari: thanks for the new try. It is the best of the ones you made for this contest. It is a very pleasant design and nice font as well. Coolwanz: thanks for the entry. It looks like a very pleasant design and very stylish but it is also a little hard to make out. The icon looks stylish and chocolatish but I am not too sure what it shows. The word concentrated looks too small to read. I think it would look better if the icon was slightly bigger and chocolate was on top of flavour rather than next to each other. Designx: thanks for the entry. The logo looks chocolatey which is good. At the same time I feel it's somehow a little plain or a little too retro for my taste. Thanks again for the try. I am not the creative type, but perhaps if anyone is thinking of entering maybe perhaps a font that looks like chocolate but with a bite mark as if someone already bitten off it? This is not a requirement at all, just a suggestion. I must say though even in its early stages this contest looks very, very competitive. A lot of great entries. Thanks for the effort guys.
Alex: thanks for the entry. It is a very nice design. Perhaps just a little hard to read. Very stylish and very creative Ari: thanks for taking my suggestion into account (regarding the bite). Again, it was just a suggestion not a requirement. The new one looks great but the previous one is more suitable. Let me explain, your new one looks really good but it contains some type of a donut. While I may get a lot of sales from the guys who work in the police department, a donut in the western world is seen as something unhealthy. You don't need to change anything though. The previous entry is good enough.
Hecky, I just realised you changed your avatar. Really liked the previous one but this is some cool cat. Regarding your entry: again a very stylish logo and there is nothing wrong with it but let me be blunt since I noticed you can take feedback and let me say the only problem is some other contestants have produced some stronger entries. My sister was looking at the thread and liked your first entry very much, however, as she scrolled down she said, there are also other great entries. I just feel you can do better but at the same time I don't want to waste your time. I think there are some great entries such as xpressions, kia, ari and of course the man himself, coolwanz. It is these entries that you would have to beat. Speno: thanks for giving this a try. Pretty much what I said to Hecky. There are a lot of great entries. Your logo is pleasant but I feel like it's a little web 2ish for my taste and the guys I mentioned above seem to have some stronger entries. Also the guys above also added some icon/symbol which I feel adds a lot to the design. Shib: thanks for the entry. It looks nice but it's just a little amateurish and a little too plain for me to consider it.
Wow, some great designs in this thread. Maybe you should open up a chocolate candy shop and use each one of these.
Wow! Great logos everyone! Great job Ariestoteles, Xpressions, Coolwanz - heck, everyone else! I can't wait till I reach my minimum posts & membership time so I can hold a logo contest of my own!
More feedback: Kia, one of the reasons I wanted to close this contest no earlier than Monday was because over the weekend I have an lcd monitor at home and a crt monitor at work. I noticed in the past certain colours look confusing on an lcd monitor so I want to see them on the crt. I certainly like your logo, but again, because of my lcd I feel the colours are not chocolatey enough. The font certainly is very, very chocolatey but not the colours. I am not sure how hard or easy would be to add a small icon in the same style as the font. Without an icon your logo is a little plain though still chocolatey. Alex: thanks for the changes. Your logo is certainly a very stylish one but I still feel there are stronger entries on this thread. I particularly like those with some type of an icon. If I went to a logo designer and he designed me the same thing you did I would have been happy as it is a pleasant logo and certainly meets my needs. It's just that other guys seem to have stronger entries that's all. And maybe I am overstepping a little but I only mean this as an advice. I noticed some of the guys when they submit a logo, they also change the colour of the frame to match the logo. When I look at your logo, the colour of the frame detracts from it. I know I'm supposed to look at the logo not at the frame but still, I felt like offering this advice. Kia, you're right about the designs. They are very great designs and while I am not going to open up a chocolate store, let me just say that the chocolate consumption in my home has increased significantly since starting this contest. Even now I'm enjoying a chocolate covered macadamia nut.
Moonty, thanks for the new try. To be honest I prefer your very first entry. I like that cocoa bean you used and I thought it was very creative. But regarding your first try I think the colours weren't chocolatey enough. This new one is great and the only thing I would have asked was for was more chocolaty looking colours. It could also be my lcd monitor that is playing tricks on me. I think your first entry is a great one but at the same time I really think xpressions has one which is really hard to beat. I am only mentioning this because I hate wasting people's time and giving the impression you may still have a chance when my mind is made up. There are also other great entries but still, expression entry seems to be the best of the best so far.
