You can't label a design 100% Unique if you didn't design it from scratch. Using a generic template that THOUSANDS of others are using is NOT UNIQUE at all. All it would take is one company that has that template to scream infringement & ALL the others using it in their mainstream branding will become at risk for lawsuits & DMCA Take-Downs. The best practice for a striving design, is to do everything from scratch & NOT use templates. Templates were created for those that don't know how to design & can't afford to use a designers services. Sure doing it from scratch actually takes time / effort / creativity / & experience with the software being used, but in the long run to save you from legal hassles & discrediting your good name, it's worth it. Design IS NOT a "get rich quick business". All that thought pattern does is ruin yourself & disrupt an already volatile design industry. Your actions have now made everyone wonder if "ALL" the designs you've ever submitted are copy's too Good luck to you & remember, Practice, Practice, Practice.
I guess I wasn't clear enough. Some of you certainly went with an older style, but not quite far back enough. Here's a couple random logos I found on the web that I liked (not in purple though, or washed out, like the other)
The font looks a little too compressed, and I don't really care for the outlining shape. I do like the work in the upper right corners, but it needs something to pull it together.
I'm liking this. I don't care for the razor, but I certainly do think something needs to be there. Can you make this in more of a square, or circle shape? With a rectangle we'd have a lot of dead space on a product label.
