simple if/else question

    all i want is a message to display when a form is submitted

    i am new to php so please be gentle, thanks.

    this is what i got at the moment:

    So.. what's wrong with that code? What do you need done?

    Right now it will say "a message" if the URL contains a ?submit or &submit

    In your submitted form, do you have a textfield named "submit"? If not, that's probably your problem ;)
