Contest Simple header for WP template - $25 paid via Paypal

I need to get a header for a new site I am working on. We are moving one of our websites from html to Wordpress format and need a header image for the WP theme. We are fairly open about what it should look like as long as it includes:

a) Business name: Anglers & Hunters Travel
b) Image dimensions: 120h x 760w pixels

A&H is a specialized travel agency that helps sportsmen experience world-class fishing and hunting vacations. To help you I've include the current URL for the business as well as the temporary site we are hosting the WP template.

The current URL of the html site is: www.anglershunterstravel.com
Temporary URL of the WP site is: www.anhtrvl.com (there is a placeholder image currently on the page).

Thanks for your submission. I like that you including both fishing and hunting. I would prefer something a little more realistic imagewise (ie the bear is a little cartoonish for us). We sell fishing and hunting trips and people like to see themselves doing an activity before calling us to book. That is why we try to use a lot of pictures in our website. Please feel free to look at www.anglershunterstravel.com and use any of the graphics you see there.

 

Good start. I like that you tried to blend the different images. Just two comments.

#1) As mentioned above people like to see themselves doing something to feel more comfortable about buying. Of the four images only the last two (fishing) really gives that feeling. The other two are hard to make out (guy with gun & some indistinct type of animals). Feel free to use any images from our main url as I know that I have permission to use those pictures.

#2) Secondly, the name of the agency doesn't really stand out and blends into the background too much.

Thanks for your entry. Honestly the colors and light bursts are just too bright and overshadow everything else. Subtle sells in our niche. Also I am not sure how the scuba equipment works with our core business of fishing and hunting trips. Good luck.

I can still change the pictures and texts, the pictures on your website were a little small, but i still wanted to use at least one, but i tried to get more realistic and pictures with people doing the activities. i hope you like it.
PS. the bottom one will be re sized to 120h x 760w pixels if you want the final.
