I have a simple question. Which do you think is better, and why?

I currently have <h1>Photoshop Tutorials</h1> on all of my pages over at PhotoshopStar, since I'm using WordPress, I'm thinking of changing this to: <h1>Photoshop Tutorials at PhotoshopStar - Page Title</h1>

Which do you think will be more effective? Probably the second option, in my opinion.

that depents on the keyword which you want to get better results.

    on main page
    <h1>Photoshop Tutorials at PhotoshopStar </h1>

    on category pages

    <h1>Photoshop Tutorials at PhotoshopStar - Category Name</h1>

    on content pages
    <h1>Page Title</h1>

    will be better:)

Try to have unique titles across your pages :) The second option looks better to me now.

personally i would use <h2> tags as they carry more weight with the search engines.

I'm using just one <h1> tag at the top and lots of <h2>'s scattered among the pages.

Personally I don't bother repeating the name of the site in H1's all over my site. Just linking back to it with the words in the link works very well for keeping those keywords in important text on that page. Link text doesn't just help the target page get listed for those keywords, but it also helps the page that links get listed for those keywords (plus a few others, usually).

It would depend on your page content. Always remember to use a unique title for all your site's sub-pages.

Try and use a shorter header. The longer it is, the less weighting it has as a whole. Focus on getting the keywords accross and supporting it with h2 tagged info.

use max 5 words for title and try to make a script so that every page got his own relevant title so that every page gets ranked on the relevant keyword
if you need more then 5 words try making h2 tags in the content of the page with those words
