I've always had someone who dealt with my domains before so a lot of this is new to me. Firstly, if I host my domains on say Godaddy but want to have my hosting provided by someone else, can I just change the nameservers to the other hosting site and keep the domain at Godaddy or does it have to be transferred? Also, where is the cheapest place to register domains, if I have around 100 domains? It's around £9 per domain on Godaddy so that adds up to quite a bit when I have to renew them.
Yes, all you need to is change the nameservers that your hosting company gives you, over at the place where your domain is registered e.g. GoDaddy. You dont need to transfer your domain over to your hosting companies domain name provider. I always use Namecheap to register my own domains. They cheaper than Godaddy for sure.
