Contest Simple App Logo (30$) – 48 hour contest

I am looking for a simple, creative, modern and attractive logo.
Below are just some guidelines of what I have thought about but feel free to use your creative talent and to do what you think works best.

This logo is for an App on a mobile phone (so square logo). It will be an App that plays videos of the leaders of a religious organization.

I was thinking of having a Watch-Tower (to represent prophets) or the letters PV (standing for Prophet Videos) for the App design, or both.

The color scheme that I was thinking is below as well, but again feel free to use other colors that you think may work better.

I will need the format to be psd or vector.

I would like this to be a public contest so all submissions must go through the thread.

This is a 48 hour contest so I intend to have a desirable logo by then.

The winner will receive 30$ US paid via PayPal.

Thank you so much for your work adwait007. I like the colors that you used and your creativity in designing a unique watch tower. The purpose of the watch tower is to symbolize someone standing on top that sees what people on the ground don't see (like prophets). When I see your watch tower the first thing that come to mind is a castle that someone lives in or something.

Some ideas: you could put a very simple watch tower similar to the black and white one above with a simple stick person standing on top.

Or just a simple PV logo might do as well.

Thanks @Illidan_000. I like the sold colors and the simplicity with just the letters. The tower is interesting. I think the tower would look better if the stick person was in the window of the tower and you could make the window bigger.

 

Hi Everyone. Thanks for all your inputs. As another option of what may work: I was thinking about using the symbol of an unbroken chain to symbolize the authority of the prophets being passed down. Orininally I didn't want to do this because a chain usually represents bondage. But I wonder if you could do a chain diminishing in the background or around the border. Here are some pics to give you an idea.

Also if you do a fade in the background color I would like a gradual, not abrupt fade.

Thanks for your input @Illidan_000. Before we keep remodeling the watch tower could we try the unbroken chain idea with the examples I gave. I'm just thinking that might look better. Let me know if that works. If not we can keep working on the tower. Sorry for the variation.

Hello BeachMaster,

Here are my designs:

In this logo, the letters P and V(in white) have been highllighted.


In this one, as you had described, the concept of lighthouse and chain have been highlighted.
Apart from that, you may also notice the 'video play' button(triangle) in this one.


In this logo I have highlighted the gradual change in value of the white tone of the lighthouse signifying 'going towards heaven'.
