I just got a new server which is giving me some problems. The server works with PLESK. basically I got two different problems. Problem One: I just downloaded by FTP the files for a WP installation, but when I try to access the website, instead of opening the page, I get the "download this file" message, and my computer instead of running the install file, wants to download it. Problem Two: For another new website installed on that server, which has a simple html website, sometimes it shows it and other times it does not show it. Just need to check inside to confirm that everything is working properly or not and fix whatever is making website to behave this strange. Besides the fixup, i need an explanation on what was the problem so I can fix it myself next time. Should be an easy way to get an itrader. Account managed with PLESK.
If you get a download prompt when trying to access your website - server does not support php files. In case if it's your own server - check if you've installed everything as it needs to be ( Apache, PHP, CGI, etc. ).
Thanks activefrost, Server is not mine... And the website does support php files, since I have other wordpress websites running fine in the same server.
