Similar to flash

Any other program out there that is similar to flash, like do all flash's effects but cheaper or for free if can be. I am looking this for a friend, he said he doesnt want flash on his computer for some reason, only he knows why.

Yes,

Swish is an alternative - probably the one used most often as an analogue to Flash.

However, I don't have a very high opinion of them, speaking from experience.

Most sites created with swish look pretty much the same and somehow lack that quality of Flash-based ones. What I am saying is that in all cases to create high-quality flash animation, you are to learn actionscript.

 

I agree, im sure its possible to make a nice site in Swish, but I am yet to see one.

In fact, I am developing a free simple flash editor, hopefully, I could release the first version in two or three months. wish me good luck guys
