A few days ago I made a small script: http://sf-zone.net/site-not-launched-countdown-script/18/
Yesterday someone posted a comment saying that there is another script ( http://launchsoon.com/ ). That was the first time I heard about that website and that script.

Can I get in trouble for having a script that does the same thing as they're script and should I remove my script or I am allowed to have the script.
I did not use any peace of code or anything from they're script. The only part I used was the countdown script but I did get rights to use it from the original author.

    Thanks for your time.

I didn't even copy the idea. I found out about at script only after I made my script

Also thank you all for your replay. :) It is a good thing I can have a similar script.

Tons of sites use scripts that do the same things. All search engine scripts basically do the same.

you just need to develop to make it better than the other one so they will think they are the one that copied you but not as good. :D

Unless the task is patented by them, you won't run into problems.

Copyright protects expression of ideas, not ideas.

if a script short enough, then everybody will copy it or change it and you can do nothing.
