Similar (but different) filenames...

I have a php application (a car review system) that allows people to submit reviews of cars. I have implemented mod_rewrite so the URL's are static and use the review's title as the filename and ending in the primary key.

    Example:
(User submits review for Toyota Camry)
    http://www.car-reviews.com/opinions/toyota-camry-176.php

I would like the URL's to be as optimized as possible for Google, but am afraid I will have tens or hundreds of URL's for all the popular cars, and because there will be multiple submissions for say, the toyota camry, there will be different pages with URL's like this:

    http://www.car-reviews.com/opinions/toyota-camry-176.php
    http://www.car-reviews.com/opinions/toyota-camry-214.php
    http://www.car-reviews.com/opinions/toyota-camry-268.php
    http://www.car-reviews.com/opinions/toyota-camry-299.php
    http://www.car-reviews.com/opinions/toyota-camry-324.php
    .. and so on.

Is this okay to have tens->hundreds of pages of reviews with fairly similar filenames? Just thought I would ask before I pull the trigger and go live. Thanks for your help.

It would depend alot on the content of each page. If each page has lots of unique content, it won't matter too much. If they are all very similar it might hurt more than it would help.

I don't think it will matter if you have similar filenames, as long as the contents are unique.
