I have been using MS web technologies for over 10 years. Though I really do think Silverlight is a nice technology with a bright future, I do not use it.
Maybe it's becuse I have more of a technichal background rather than a visual/graphic one

Edit: If i was a brand new programmer i'de definately consider Silverlight a carreer

    Hi Mahendra,

I have recently found one online class on Silverlight scheduled for May 26th, 2010 by Mr. Shivprasad Koirala, a renowned ASP. NET trainer. There are many ASP .NET teachers that are actively using WiZiQ's virtual classroom and reaping benefits from it. You can also try it out by yourself by scheduling one or more demo classes, and by inviting your students to this wonderful virtual education platform. Let me know if you have any questions.

    Regards,
    Chinmaya Ram

Silverlight is going to be the next generation GUI that will be great advantage for the programmers.
SO programmers will never have to be dependent on designers to create their GUIs, also programmers are not needed to learn any client side scription, its pure .net.

I've been programming a little here and there for 30 years and recently installed the silverlight toolbox. I'm amazed with the functionality provided in drag & drop controls. To me, it seems dumbed down. But development is quick. I plan to give it a go.
