I just read some articles about LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing), Silo Structure, theme based, n Blah Blah which is going to be the new wave in SEO as search engine algos are gonna take us i.e the so called search engine optimization experts for a ride.. With softwares like silomatic coming up what will be the future of SEO and professionals making their living from SEO?
The only people who will get taken for a ride are the people who believe everything they read and are willing to hand over money to snake oil salesman. The simple fact is that if you think that search engines are using LSI then you don't know what LSI is or misunderstand the term. - Michael
im not pressing on any facts nor arguing that SEs are using LSI. I dint misunderstand anything but am not clear abt these silo structure sites and LSI's Just wanted to know opinions abt their impact on SEO is good or bad.. Coz my profession is SEO too.. If u are clear abt LSI , Silos, Theme based sites then please be kind enuf to elaborate on that.. Thnx
IMHO, It is all Bull... As long as content and links are good..No force can drive your site down Afterall its all about content and links..no silo filo thing should effect SERPS.. Thats my opinion
Interesting stuff.... Thanks for that. I think I may go into the LSA/I stuff again as I have been seeing providers using it as a sales tool which irks me ( search - ' your seo sucks ' my rant is there)..... I have done a bunch of work with the 'phrase based' IR stuff, and personally felt it to be more than a little different from the Applied Semantics stuff.... so I don't consider them synonomous. There are other recent patents I am workin on with a bud that also have similarities in the concepts. So while I have always believed LSI was really for the AdSense program, there are many filings since that 2003 purchase that seem like that train of thought (from LSA/I was followed). Although, I think the Phrase Based stuff came from original works from Anna Patterson, I believe.... ...anyways, thanks for the links I shal add them when I get around to my next rant on LSI.... cheers
