silly subdomains?

if you owned I-love-it.com (which I don't, it's parked by someone) would you go with subdomains or folders?

    a)subdomains
    chicken-recipes.I-love-it.com
    diet-recipes.I-love-it.com

    b)folders
    I-love-it.com/chicken-recipes
    I-love-it.com/diet-recipes

Personally i would prefer to use subdomains...but they look a bit silly?

should I be bothered about that? I have a similar domain name and can't decide.

i prefer sub-domains. They are easier to get incoming links than directories of a domain. Plus i feel it is easier to manage.

I woudl suggest going with Subdomans like Bilz said they are easy enough to manage and also get PR pretty easily. Also people generally remember subdomains alot easier and they come across as alot more human friendly which is definetly a plus when optimizing your site as google and other SEO's do rate and rank your link structure.
